VP Vaping Review: Honey Vapes

I had been looking through the forum Planet of the Vapes and came across Honey Vapes mentioned in a thread that I was following(can’t for the life of me remember what the subject was about). Whenever I come across a new company, I always check it out and see what they have to offer. Honey Vapes are a UK based company and run their business through Facebook (to be honest, I’ve never been too keen on Facebook, but that’s another story) however, I ‘liked’ their page and had a look at what they had to offer.

The menu in general seemed to me to be very custard or cream based, but not entirely. I have to add, up to this point I have generally  kept away from custards, just didn’t appeal to me. But with this new venture into blogging and reviews, I did think that it was time to widen my horizons.

Looking through the menu I did spot a few flavours that I thought I may like and took the plunge and got some. At the time of ordering they were running several offers and I chose the 4 X 30ml for £20.00 including delivery (these are the four I review below). I had never bought anything from a company on Facebook, so I think I was maybe a little apprehensive. I suppose the questions going around in my head were, how do you give details? How do you pay? How secure is it?

Anyway, it was late on a Saturday evening and I lead off with a couple of questions to Honey Vapes. Within moments I had had a reply, I was very surprised and within a couple of messages back and forth I had ordered my juice. I gave address details over messenger and made payment through PayPal.

The person (sorry don’t know if it was he or she) at Honey Vapes made me very comfortable and put me at ease and this all took place ‘out of hours’. They were very accommodating – this was great customer service. I have since ordered again (the same volumes but different flavours which I will review in a future post), again, the same responsive, excellent service.

Honey Vapes currently sell their juice as follows; £6.50 for 30ml, £12.50 for 50ml and £17.50 for 100ml, and at the moment they have a selection of really good offers on. I’m not sure if that’s for a time period or on going, but thought best not to include them here as I could be incorrect!

When ordering, you are asked what nicotine strength you require and what VG/PG ratio you would like. I had all of mine 0.6mg and 70VG/30PG. I also inquired about steeping and was told that the raspberry custard needed steeping, in my opinion all of the juices were much better for a few days steeping.

Device used: Dripex DBOX 30W @14watts, with an Aspire Triton 1.8ohm coil

La Creme: Strawberry cheescake with custard & cream

This was the first flavour I tried and it was wonderful! I was really taken aback on how good this was – a delightful creamy vape with wonderful tones of strawberries. I don’t think I could quite get the cheescake but it did not matter, I was in heaven. After a few days it was even better, I could not put it down. At one point it felt like I was cheating on my other juices, but I did not care. The vape production was great too, lovely thick cloudage.

VP Review Rating: 10/10

Cream Man: Custard drizzled over strawberries topped with cream

I felt that this needed some steeping to hit its full potential, but also a really good vape. This came across as very creamy with hints of strawberries and I do mean hints. Not sure that I got to much custard, and although a lovely vape it didn’t quite hit the wow factor. This one again produced some great cloudage too.

Raspberry Custard

This is lovely, just like creamy custard and ripe juicy raspberries rolling across the tongue in a thick plume of vape. Truly delightful, another juice that I will be ordering from these guys at Honey Vapes. The consistency of vape production with all the juices is great, so yet again some great cloudage.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

Melon Punch: Melons packing a punch

I do have to admit that I did buy this as a comparison to a juice that I had bought from another vendor. This has the closest to watermelon taste I’ve ever tried, it is quite simply as though you have just bitten into a rather large slice of watermelon, but instead of your mouth filling with the watery flesh, you are filled with plumes of thick creamy vape.

This is very much so on the inhale, on the exhale there is a hint of the watermelon but there is also the ‘punch’. Now it’s taken me a while to work this out and I’m probably not right but I will try to describe it – it’s almost a sweet peppery taste, like cinnamon? It gives a slight tingle on the tongue and matches the watermelon very pleasantly.

Having said all this, I’m not actually very keen on watermelon and there lies the problem for me, it is too ‘true’ for me to enjoy it. All in all this is a fine juice, but not for me, I kind of feel disappointed in myself. Once again great vape production.

VP Review Rating: 4/10

In my opinion, Honey Vapes is an excellent company, with some fantastic juices. They have not only exceeded my expectations of customer service, but opened my world to a new choice of juice. Though I have been looking around at others who specialise in ‘custards’, I will always be returning for my top up of La Creme (and a few others).

I should point out that since I ordered, Honey Vapes have redesigned their labels and they now look like this:

If there one tiny critique, as the name suggests, there arent enough ‘honey’ flavours. It got me thinking, peaches and honey with custard, oh I’m salivating! Maybe a future juice Honey Vapes? and a name, maybe the Sweet Pogonophile?!

I would highly recommend popping by and trying some juices – fantastic job Honey Vapes.
