Z Squad Eliquid a UK company based in Blackburn. They have a four juice range with a theme of Zombies.
When I first met the guys from Z Squad at the Vaper Expo UK they were called Zombie Squash originally. Since the Expo I received an email informing me that they were changing their name. Not sure why they felt the need to do that but, I do find the new name does sit better with me and suits the characters of the juice.
Though I’m not a huge Zombie fan, Zombies are really fashionable right now, with a huge amount of films, TV series and computer games on all platforms. Two films I have enjoyed recently are World War Z with Brad Pitt (trailer click here) and I am Legend with Will Smith (trailer click here). They are probably not number one picks for true Zombie fans, but I enjoyed them.
To come out with a juice range with a Zombie theme is really on trend. So have they come out with a range just to get the interest of the Zombie fan vaper? or have they got a range of juices that stand out and of good quality, read on and lets see what I think.
You can buy Z Squad direct at www.Z-squad-eliquid.co.uk, they sell in 10ml for £4.00, but you can get bundle deals 3 for £10.00 and 4 for £12.00. They come in 0, 3 and 6mg nicotine strength and they are a 60VG/40PG mix.
The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
- Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
- Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 55watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
Scent: a mixed fruit blend with a strong pomegranate at the front with citrus notes.
Flavour: with a taste of the tropics this delightful number gives you a wonderfully fruity punch. This great blend gives you a rich tropical fruit mix throughout the inhale and on to the exhale with certain fruits jumping out at you, pomegranate, kiwi and right at the back I get a small kick of grapefruit. I also think there is an addition of guava which keeps this juice superbly smooth. An ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 8/10
Scent: menthol notes, it actually reminds me of a minty toothpaste.
Flavour: wowwee, for someone like myself who is not a menthol fan, this has blown my socks off. Right from the inhale it is like a menthol explosion on the back of the throat which is joined by an aniseed which accompanies the menthol very well. This continues into the exhale leaving the palate vitalised and refreshed. This is certainly one for you menthol vapers out there, a must try. Though hard hitting it is still a smooth vape. It is not for me. Oh, by the way it doesn’t taste like toothpaste.
VP Review Rating: 5/10
Scent: a fruity mix, a blackcurrant in the background? with a hint of menthol.
Flavour: after trying Hellbender I kind of expecting this to blow me as well. So it was quite funny that with gritted teeth I tried this juice and was pleasantly surprised. On the inhale it is more of a cool menthol which is accompanied by a delightfully full bodied blackcurrant. Once again this continues on to the exhale with the blackcurrant coming to the forefront and the cool menthol fading away. This particular flavour has been done quite a few times and I find that this blend is definitely one of the best I’ve tried. It’s not for me, but I do highly recommend it.

Scent: strawberry with custard tones.
Flavour: this juice reminded me of school dinners, the custard from school dinners, very thick and rich. A lot of peoples memories of school dinners aren’t so great, but mine are. It seems that I was lucky enough to go to a school that did excellent dinners.
On the inhale I get a strawberry jam which is encapsulated in a rich, smooth thick custard which continues onto the exhale. The custard becoming more to the forefront and leaving you with a creamy custard taste on the palate. An ADV for me

So to my conclusion, Z Squad have brought some great juices to the market, there is great consistency through the range delivering well blended flavours and for a 60VG/40PG juice, produces some excellent vapour. Z Squad isn’t just a company that has jumped on the Zombie trend, but have produced some excellent, well mixed juices that have their place amoungst other well known brands. The plastic bottles come with unicorn style drip tips, child safety caps with tamp rings. The labels come with some excellent art work and all relevant information needed. The website is very good, clear and easy to navigate and has some excellent art work, in keeping with the art work on the labels.
I would recommend going and checking out Z Squad. If you are heading to Vaper Expo – The Return next week then you should go and check these guys out.
You can also find them on social media;
I’d like to say thank you to the guys at Z Squad for giving me these juices for review.
