Sub Sauce is a UK company, they launched in early 2016 with a four juice range.
In October last year I went to the Vaper Expo UK – The Return (you can read about that by clicking here). On one of my many tours around the vast exposition, I would come across a stand that I hadn’t seen before. On one of these occasions I came across the Sub Sauce stand, I remember it quite clearly, a vibrant blue with lots of submarines. I liked it, a great play on words and though simplistic it was very effective.
We chatted for some time and I tried out their juices, I was suitably impressed. The guys at Sub Sauce asked me if I would do a review. I was given, for the purpose of review, this wonderful green clipped box which the juices were inside with a couple of vape bands and a key ring, see the photos below. A lovely touch and I could see that all the details of the branding had been carefully thought about. As I have mentioned many times, trying juices at an event can be a lot different to when you get home into your own environment and using your own devices, so read on and lets see what I thought.
You can buy these direct at http://www.SubSauceEliquid.co.uk 10ml for £5.00 and 30ml for £10.00, they come in 0, 1.5, 3 and 6mg nicotine strength. They are all a 80VG/20PG mix.
The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
- Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
- Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 55watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
Scent: melon with hints of pineapple.
Flavour: I did have to chuckle as I was surprised to find a light bubblegum flavour on the exhale. It is well documented in my reviews that it’s not a flavour I am too fond of. So the surprise was that I really quite liked it, how odd.
On the inhale I got a light pineapple that is accompanied by a lovely juicy apple. These flavours become very much back notes on the exhale, with a wonderful cantaloupe melon coming very much to the front and this ever so light bubblegum sitting right behind it. A very refreshing vape and surprisingly an ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 7/10
Scent: cake and cream.
Flavour: it was my birthday last week and I had a wonderful day, but there was one thing missing – CAKE. It isn’t normally the case, but my wife has been exceptionally busy and was unable to provide me with one. It didn’t matter as everything else about the day was superb. (I do love cake though).
This juice certainly delivered that missing cake. On the inhale a beautifully golden soft vanilla sponge with a light cream. On the exhale the vanilla sponge is still there in abundance but the smooth whipped cream comes more to the front. As I love cake, this is certainly an ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 7/10
Scent: fresh peaches with a creamy yoghurt back note.
Flavour: as a child one of the desserts I would have on a regular basis is canned peaches and cream, I loved it (still do) and this juice hits this flavour right on the mark.
On the inhale I get a canned peaches (the best kind in my book) delightfully juicy and an air of the juice that comes with canned peaches. On to the exhale and I get a rich smooth very creamy yoghurt with the slightest hint of apricot. You can tell the apricot is there, as it brings a slight sharpness with it. It may not be quite what they were going for, but it is sublime never the less. Is it an ADV? most certainly is for me.
VP Review Rating: 8/10
Scent: strawberry yoghurt.
Flavour: so as a rule I don’t really vape strawberry vapes, not entirely sure why, as I love strawberries. There is something, dare I say it, special about this that makes me want to go back for more. Can’t really put my finger on it, I think maybe that I don’t find too sweet.
On the inhale for me, I get a two tone strawberry going on, a wonderfully fresh strawberry and also a hint of a candied strawberry, with a smooth Greek yoghurt that comes following in in waves. With a lot of Greek yoghurt vapes, they tend to come across quite sour. Not with this. On the exhale the strawberries and yoghurt become intertwined swirling around your taste buds leaving me with a sensation of a slightly dry mouth. As does real Greek yoghurt. Certainly a must try and once again an ADV for me.

So to my conclusion, I find that Sub Sauce have brought some great juices to the market, there is a great consistency through the range and they all produce some excellent vapour. I am impressed with the branding which looks like it has been carefully thought about. The juices came in this great little box (which I’m trying to work out what I’m going to use it for next). The plastic bottles are unicorn style and come with child safety caps. The website is great with this moving background that makes you think you are submerged in water, it is a simple site, but has everything you need and is clear and easy to navigate.
I would recommend going and checking out Sub Sauce.
You can also find them on social media;
I’d like to say thank you to the guys from Sub Sauce for giving me the opportunity to review these juices.
