VP Vaping Review: Cornish Liquids

Cornish Liquids is a UK company based in Penryn, Cornwall. They have been around since 2014 and they have a range of fifteen juices.

I was lucky enough to go to the Vaper Expo UK – The Return in October of last year (if you would like to read about my visit then please click here). It was an excellent event and a great opportunity to meet some new companies that were showcasing at the event. One of these companies I met was Cornish Liquids.

I have a friend on Twitter who is also from Cornwall and she spoke very highly of this company. It was a company I had on my ‘To check out’ list, so it was great to finally meet them in person. The guys at Cornish Liquids asked me if would do a review for them and gave me four juices from their range for the purpose of review.

I have mentioned many times that sometimes juices taste great at an event, but when you get them home  and into your own devices, well, they don’t quite live up to what you were expecting. Read on and see what I though of these juices.

You can buy direct from www.CornishLiquids.co.uk 10ml for £4.99, they also do discounted multi buy option 3 x 10ml for £12.99 and 6 x 10ml £19.99. You can get all these in 0, 3, 6, 12 and 18mg nicotine strength and they are a 70VG/30PG mix.

The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.

With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.

Devices used:

  • Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
  • Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
  • Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton

Sweet Classics

Scent: rhubarb and custard sweets.

Flavour: when I first saw the name of this juice it made me think of two very popular sweets that have been replicated in juices. Cola Cubes and Rhubarb & Custards, I am so glad that it was the later. A childhood favourite of mine, going to the shop before school and picking up a quarter of Rhubarb & Custards. This replication is one of the better ones.

Throughout the inhale and on to the exhale I get this wonderfully smooth blend. The rhubarb and the custard swirling in, with just enough sweetness to calm any sharp notes the rhubarb would normally give. Leaving me with a slightly creamy, yet sweet palate. Great juice and an ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

Camborne Crack

Scent: bubblegum and menthol.

Flavour: haha, so there are three definite flavours I really do not like to vape – bubblegum, menthol and aniseed, this juice has all three, yay! It is well documented that these flavours are not for me. However, I do know the flavours very well and know how they should be. With all three of these flavours I find that they tend to take over the juice. I am impressed by the craftsmanship of this juice, each flavour complimenting the other. The beauty I find with this juice is that every time I take a vape I am given a slightly different experience.

On the inhale I get a hint of bubblegum followed by a hint of aniseed (sometimes I find these switch places) and this all comes in on a breeze of menthol which isn’t hard hitting. At first I could sense there was something else there and it wasn’t until a few vapes, I realised that the bubblegum was flavoured with an accent of mixed berries (very clever). On to the exhale and the menthol dies down leaving the bubblegum and aniseed to fight for position.

I think measurements have been wonderfully crafted to make for an excellent vape. It’s not for me, but if you like some or all of those flavours then it is a must try.

VP Review Rating: 5/10

Mum’s Milk

Scent: strawberry milk.

Flavour: with having two young children, when I read the name of this juice I immediately thought of breast milk (not sure if I should have shared that little gem), so it was with much surprise than it doesn’t taste like breast milk. This juice is however an excellent take on a classic favourite – strawberries and cream.

On the inhale I’m getting several notes going on, a milk, a light custard and a luscious cream and all that combined with a strawberry syrup, not fresh strawberry. On to the exhale and all these flavours come swirling out each hitting your palate to remind you they are there. A smooth and delightfully strawberry cream vape. A very popular flavour and an ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 7/10

Scent: blue raspberry.

Flavour: this is your blue slushie. But how have they done it?

Blue Slushie is one the most popular flavours on the market and many companies to their take on it. Some do it with coolada and some don’t. Some do a watered down flavour effect and some do a full-bodied flavour. I wouldn’t say any are incorrect, because it is down to personal taste. Which is the great thing about the industry, several different options for the same flavour to suit the different palates.

This juice is the full-bodied kind without the coolada. My favourite kind.

Throughout the inhale and the exhale I am given this most delightfully rich full-bodied blue raspberry slushie. Just as if I had accidentally left my slushie to melt. An ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 7/10

So to my conclusion, I find Cornish Liquids have brought some excellent well crafted juices to the market and they deliver great flavour and produce some excellent vapour. I’ve been really impressed with the quality of their juices and their blending. The juices came in plastic unicorn style bottles with child safety caps and were individually wrapped. I love the logo which is used on the labelling and throughout their website. They have an excellent website that is clear and easy to navigate and they have some wonderful pictures of glorious Cornwall. As well as the website they have a few brick and mortar shops in the Cornwall area. Looking at the rest of their range they look like they have some really exciting flavours that I will be checking out. Cornish Tea and Driftwood sound amazing!

I would highly recommend going and checking out Cornish Liquids.
