VP Vaping Review: JAC Vapour

JAC Vapour is a UK company based in Edinburgh, Scotland. They launched in 2010 and then in 2011 JAC’s launched the V3i battery and cartomiser, the very first bottom coil cartomiser on the UK market. Through 2012 and into 2013 they continued to grow.

In 2013 they introduced their own UK made e-liquids and put together a team to develop the hardware side of things. In 2014 they introduced the first vapourless range of e-liquids – Clear Steam. They also introduced their first UK designed e-cigarette – Series-E.

In 2015 they expanded into Germany offering online facilities for German vapers. They also engineered and introduced the Series-B Tilt. JAC Vapour were one of the first companies in the UK to design and engineer their own products. The Series-B Tilt went on to win an award for Best MOD by Gizmodo UK.

In 2016 they introduced the Series-S an all in one device, introduced their own DIY range. JAC Vapour also made a partnership with Arymi and exclusively offered the Arymi Gille to the UK market which has gone on and been given some great reviews.

They offer a wide range of juices and devices for beginners through to the more experienced vaper. They have four juice ranges, UK made e-liquids with 17 flavours, the Standard e-liquids with 17 flavours, Clear Steam with 5 flavours and Liquid Zwo their newest range with 2 flavours.

I was contacted by JAC Vapour through Instagram and they said that they really liked what I was doing and would I be able to do a review for them. I’ve known about JAC Vapour for quite a while and seen reviews of their products by fellow reviewers. I was really quite excited that a large, respectable company like JAC Vapour had contacted me. So the guys at JAC Vapour sent me out four juices from there UK made e-liquid range and their two new juices from the Liquid Zwo range. All of their juices are now fully TPD compliant.

You can buy these all direct from www.JACVapour.com the UK made e-liquids 10ml for £4.99 but if you buy 5 or more you will get a discount of £1.00 per bottle, making each bottle £3.99. They come in 0, 3, 6, 12 and 18mg nicotine strength and you can choose between 70PG/30VG or 30PG/70VG mix.

Liquid Zwo are 10ml for £5.99 and they come in 6 or 12mg nicotine strength and they are a 50VG/50PG mix.

You can get free delivery on all orders over £50.00.

The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.

With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.

Devices used:

  • Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
  • Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
  • Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton

UK Made E-liquids

I received these 70VG/30PG and at 3mg nicotine strength.

Scent: blueberry

Flavour: on the inhale I am hit with this delightfully fresh blueberry, as if I have put a handful of blueberries in my mouth and they burst all over my taste buds. When you don’t think it could get any better, on to the exhale and it’s like an explosion on the palate. Great juice. An ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 9/10

Fresh Apple

Scent: apple.

Flavour: oh my goodness, I do love an apple vape and this has to be one of the best I’ve tried. I love my apples sweet and tend to go for a Pink Lady, this juice is more like a Gala.

Throughout the inhale and exhale there is no mistaking this wonderful apple juice, so refreshing and the flavour just dances around your palate. With sweet and sour notes popping out just enough to fool your senses that you might be eating an apple not vaping it. Outstanding, is it an ADV? Of course it is.

Fruits of the Forest

Scent: mixed berries.

Flavour: well, well, well they have done other great juice here. I have tried many companies take on this juice and only a few do it well. This is one of them.

On the inhale I am greeted by a wealth of berries with a richness that is almost over whelming. Blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries jumping out. This fine blend continues onto the exhale with a soft creamy finish to the vape. An ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

Kalahari Ice

Scent: melon with menthol tones.

Flavour: It is well documented in previous reviews I’m not a fan of menthol vapes and also I’m not overly keen on melon flavoured vapes either. So this just is not going to do much for me I’m afraid. But I can tell if something is good or not, doesn’t matter if I like it.

I find this juice comes in two parts which do compliment each other. I have to give it its due, the melon is very good and it is a Honey Dew melon. The second part is a menthol which is not too hard hitting.

On the inhale I get a very prominent melon which comes in on top of a wave of menthol which as I said is not over powering at all. Sometimes the measures are off and the menthol takes over the vape, not with this. On to the exhale and the menthol dies down a little and you are left with a very fruit melon finish. It is not for me, but I do believe this to be a great juice and a must try for you who enjoy a menthol vape.

Liquid Zwo

I do need to point out that the juices I have are 6mg nicotine strength which is double my usual nicotine strength, please bare this in mind as you read my review. With the higher the nicotine level I usually find the juices are little harsher on the inhale.

Kitten’s Breath

Scent: passion fruits with cream notes.

Flavour: with the increased nicotine strength for me I do get a slight throat hit from this juice. But I do have to jump in and say that the flavours in this juice are bountiful and refreshing.

On the inhale I get this delightful and full-bodied passion fruit which tantalises my taste buds. Right at the end of the inhale and leading into the exhale I get the arrival of a wonderful soft silky cream which rounds off those sharp notes of the passion fruit. This juice is not unlike the ice-cream Solero (missing the mango). There is an addition of some coolada that keeps this juice light and refreshing. Very pleasurable and if I could get it in a 3mg it would be an ADV for me and the rating would be higher.

VP Review Rating: 7/10

Snake Kiss

Scent: citrus notes and a touch of aniseed?

Flavour: the first thing that must be noted is that this juice is not at all harsh on the inhale, even with being a 6mg nicotine strength. I feel I should also point out that I do not like aniseed one bit. So guest what? There is aniseed in this juice.

On the inhale I get this rich flavour of aniseed with a fruity back notes, can’t really define the fruit but there are some citrus notes in there. This all comes in on what I can only describe as a breath of fresh air. I feel a coolada has been used instead of a menthol. On the exhale I can feel this fruity back notes really trying to push through, but for me it’s all about the aniseed. I must also note that aniseed can also make a juice rather harsh, but please believe me this juice is silky smooth. Its not for me, but if you like an aniseed vape you are going to love this.

VP Review Rating: 5/10

So to my conclusion, I find that JAC Vapour have some excellent juices, in fact I am rather impressed. For what I would class as a basic range (it is by no means basic) it is an excellent range delivering full-bodied flavours and producing some super vapour. With their new range I am equally impressed but also a little disappointed that I can’t get these in a 3mg nicotine strength. But we did chat about this at our initial point of contact, with these being new flavours and with putting through TPD compliancy (which costs a lot of money) they need to make sure that there is a demand for that strength. I can understand that.

All the bottles are plastic unicorn style with child safety caps and tamper rings. They come in boxes with all the relevant warnings on and also come with a warning/information leaflet.

All the labelling/branding is simple but very affective. They have a great website with a wealth of information and is very easy and clear to use.

It’s a small thing, but when scrolling through the flavours there are about four choices for one flavour. For me I would find it a lot easier to use if there was one flavour choice and then drop down menus within that choice to choose your desired mix, bottle size(obviously this will change in May anyway) and nicotine strength. Otherwise I cannot fault anything about what JAC Vapour are doing. I don’t think they need it as the company looks solid and will be with us for years to come, but I wish them all the best going forward.

I would highly recommend going and checking out JAC Vapour.
