VP Vaping Review: Jack Rabbit Vapes – Part 2

Jack Rabbit Vapes are a UK company based in Oxford. They recently launched at the beginning of this year and they have a ten juice range.

Back in February I went to a small expo in Nottingham at the Fusion Vape Lounge. There were quite a few new vendors which I hadn’t met before. One company very much stood out through the thick clouds in the room and that was Jack Rabbit Vapes. Two gents who were very smart in appearance, white shirt, black trousers and waistcoats. The stand also in black and white and with this wonderful rabbit figure standing very tall behind them. I knew as I walked in the room, I need to go and check them out.

After some initial ‘hellos’ to some people I already knew I went over to the stand and introduced myself and was greeted by Josh who came across as a great chap and enthusiastic about his juices, which is always a plus point for me. I also met his colleague, Toran, Yay I remembered his name! (I forgot it in my last post). I actually spent some time with Josh talking about his vision for their business and trying some of their juices. “Get the juices right, then the business will come” said Josh – I couldn’t agree more.

Josh asked me if I would do a review of their juices and gave me this wonderful sample box with five of their flavours. On the day, the one juice that had stood out for me was the Fruit Twister so I did laugh that I actually don’t have that one for review. I have mentioned many times that trying juices at events can be very different to when you get it home and try it on your own devices, read on and lets see what I think of these juices.

After the first review was published Josh contacted me again and asked me if I would do a review of their other five juices, I gleefully accepted. Josh sent me out another for their fantastic presentation boxes for the purpose of review. If you would like to check out my review of the other five juices please click here.

I went to Vape Jam UK 3 a couple of weeks ago (if you would like to check out my blog about my visit please click here) and I bumped into Josh and Toran at the event. It was great to have a catch up with them and a chat about the event itself.

You can buy these direct from www.JackRabbitsVapes.co.uk.

Jack Rabbits are selling there juices slightly different from what is now the norm, but will probably become more of the norm as the TPD regulations come into play.

Let me explain, they are selling juice with no nicotine in, in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml but with enough space in the bottle to add a nicotine shot that will make up the juice to your required nicotine strength. Once you receive your juice and your nicotine shot, put them together, give it a good shake and away you go, simple. Please see photo below for how they will come.

Quite a few companies are starting to do this.

So, pricing from their website, all coming with their required nicotine shots are £13.99 for 30ml, £17.99 for 50ml and £31.99 for 100ml, nicotine levels you can get are 0, 3 and 6mg. They are a 70VG/30PG mix.

The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.

With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.

Devices used:

  • Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
  • Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
  • Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil

Succulent Strawberry

Scent: strawberry chewits

Flavour: as name suggests its all about the strawberry, for me it comes across more like a candied strawberry than a fresh strawberry. Soft and creamy like it smells, a strawberry chewit.

On the inhale I get this soft and creamy strawberry that rolls in over the taste buds with bold and sweet strawberry notes popping out. This continues on to the exhale, delivering a very pleasant vape. An ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 7/10

Fruit Twister

Scent: lime with cream notes.

Flavour: do you like a Twister ice-cream on a warm sunny day? Well look no further, you can find your favourite ice-cream in a juice to vape.

On the inhale I get a lime that rises and when it is about to ping your taste buds a soft strawberry softens the sharp edges. Right at the back a mild vanilla ice-cream comes in on a well measured amount of coolada. Just enough to give you the slightest of sensations. On to the exhale and the blend of flavours swirl out leaving me with a fruity and creamy palate. An ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 7/10

Chocolate Doughnut

Scent: chocolate glazed doughnut.

Flavour: when I smelt this I was looking forward to this juice, after trying it I was left a little disappointed. There is definitely two flavours going on, a chocolate and a doughnut. For me they sat quite separate and I was hoping for a sweeter chocolate, more of a glazing/icing type. As the chocolate is more of a natural chocolate flavouring.

On the inhale I am hit with a rich natural chocolate which is followed in by a freshly baked doughnut, the chocolate is very prominent and continuing on to the exhale the doughnut is always fighting to come through, without succeeding.

VP Review Rating: 4/10

Cinnamon Doughnut

Scent: cinnamon.

Flavour: this is such a good blend. I blow hot and cold with cinnamon vapes, meaning i sometimes love them and then sometimes I just don’t fancy them. I have found with cinnamon vapes that they can come across a little harsh on the inhale, not with this juice, very smooth.

On the inhale I get a smooth soft cinnamon which is followed in by a freshly baked doughnut, this continues on to the exhale with the doughnut pushing further forward slightly. Leaving my palate with a slight doughy feel to it.

I don’t want my words to do a disservice to the juice, but it comes across very plain and simple and sometimes that is what I’m looking for in juice. It also makes it an ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

Creamy Melon

Scent: melon with cream notes.

Flavour: I love fruity vapes, but I’m not overly keen on melon vapes. I was slightly concerned at the thought of creamy melon, but I shouldn’t have been concerned, another juice put together very well.

On the inhale I get a two tone melon, a cantaloupe and a honeydew. They are joined by a light cream that softens and soothes the vape. On to the exhale and the melons just blossom with a continuation of the cream in the background. If you love a melon vape, then I think you should give this a try, it’s not for me.

VP Review Rating: 5/10

So to my conclusion, once again Jack Rabbit Vapes have brought another four great flavours to the market. The other I feel it didn’t work for me, but that might be down to personal preference, please let me know your thoughts on the juice.

The artwork and branding is amazing, love it. You can tell that everything has been thought about very carefully. From the wonderful sample box with the different coloured glass bottles for each flavour. To the packaging and labelling all matching and this continues on to the website which is very clear and easy to use. I would like wish Jack Rabbit Vapes all the best and wish them luck on their journey.

I would highly recommend going and checking out Jack Rabbit Vapes.
