VP Vaping Review: HHS by Vapey Jacks

HHS (Horny Horse Sauce) are produced by DRB Liquids which is a UK company based in Derby. They have a seven juice range. They are sold by Vapey Jacks who are a Vape Cafe and Bar in the centre of Derby.

I went to a small expo a at the end of February at the Fusion Vape Lounge in Nottingham. There were quite a few companies that I hadn’t met before and one of them was Vapey Jacks a Vape Cafe and Bar from Derby city centre who produce their own e-liquids HHS.

Originally coming from Derby myself it was really good to talk to them about the vaping scene in Derby and how it is thriving. I hope to go and see for myself sometime in the near future, but for now they gave me three juices for the purpose of review.

As I can’t find these particular products on their website, I am unable to give you pricing, but if you contact them I am sure that they would be glad to help. www.VapeyJacks.co.uk

The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.

With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.

Devices used:

  • Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
  • Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
  • Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil

Blue

Scent: pastry? waffle? with a hint of blueberries.

Flavour: on tasting this juice I instantly realised that it wasn’t pastry or waffle that I thought I could smell, but a muffin. Freshly baked with blueberries in a plenty.

On the inhale I get an immediate explosion of blueberry that pings my taste buds, followed in by a rich freshly baked muffin. On to the exhale and these two flavours come together and accentuate leaving me with a moist sponge and fruity palate.

I feel that there maybe be just slightly too much blueberry flavouring as the flavour just hits that point of being noticeably too much. Not off putting and an enjoyable ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 6/10

Green

Scent: very creamy lime.

Flavour: oh my goodness, I can’t put this down, rich and creamy. With the addition of a back note of pastry, I believe this to be a creamy lime pie. There is almost a sweet fluffiness to it, could it be a lime meringue pie? It is delicious.

On the inhale I get this wonderful creamy lime, the cream toning down the sharp notes of the lime and as a back note, more of a hint, a soft pastry follows in. On to the exhale and the creamy lime blossoms filling the palate and the pastry returns right at the end of the exhale. An ADV for me.

Though I have enjoyed this juice, I do love lime vapes, I would have loved for the lime in this to zing my taste buds a little more, but that is personal preference.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

Purple

Scent: bubblegum.

Flavour:  it is well documented that I’m not a fan of bubblegum. This juice is all about the bubblegum, I have tried quite a few in my time and I would rate this fairly highly on its authenticity. It is in fact a strawberry bubblegum, which I don’t think I have seen done before.

On the inhale I get a full-bodied candied strawberry which is closely followed in by the bubblegum. On to the exhale and the flavours become more combined and deliver me with a rich strawberry flavoured bubblegum. It is not for me, but if you enjoy a bubblegum vape then I think you should try this out.

VP Review Rating: 5/10

So to my conclusion, I find that Vapey Jacks – HHS have brought three great juices to the market that deliver some full-bodied flavour and produce some fantastic vapour. As personal preference I may tweek measurements slightly, but they are enjoyable as they are. I was given these juices in plastic unicorn style bottles, I’m not aware of how they are going forward with TPD coming in so I can not comment. The website is fairly simple but it is easy to navigate and gives you some basic information. It is set up to run a long side a Cafe/Bar, more than a juice selling website. It would be good to see a bit of information about the Horny Horse Sauce on the website. Looking around the Vapey Jacks social media it seems to me that they have a lot of fun events. Reading through the reviews of the Cafe/Bar they seem to be doing an excellent job. I would definitely recommend that if you are in the Derby area, popping in for a coffee and a vape.

I would recommend going and checking out HHS at Vapey Jacks.
