VP Vaping Review: Efizz

EFizz are a UK company based in Manchester. They have an eight juice range and they are distributed by Gorilla Vapour.

Last year I attended my first event Vape Jam UK 2 (if you would like to check out my visit please click here) I met a gentleman called Colin, it was a very brief meeting. But in October last year I attended Vaper Expo UK – The Return (you can check out my visit by clicking here) and I met Colin again with his newly formed distribution company Gorilla Vapour, it was great to see him and have a chat about the future for him and his company.

This year I went to Vape Jam UK 3 in London and had an excellent time (if you would like to check out my visit then click here). To my surprise I bumped into Colin again, it was fantastic to see Colin again and it was great to see the growth of the company. This time we spoke about some reviews that he would like me to do. Colin gave me for the purpose of review his own range Tornado Pro (check out my review by clicking here), Vapour Bakers (check out my review by clicking here), Vice City (check out my review by clicking here) and Efizz which is what I have for you today. I was given three of the range for the purpose of review.

Edit: Another review I did for Gorilla Vapour was of Simply Vapour, if you would like to check that out click here.

EFizz had gone down a storm at the event, so read on and lets see what I thought.

Efizz can be purchased from www.GorillaVapour.co.uk TPD compliant 10ml for £4.99 or 30ml (3 x 10ml) for £11.99, they come in 0mg or 3mg nicotine strength and they are a 80VG/20PG mix.

The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.

With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.

Devices used:

  • Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
  • Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
  • Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil

Sparkling Blackcurrant Lemonade

Scent: blackcurrant.

Flavour: I was not expecting that! This juice is a blackcurrant lemonade, but with a most definite menthol kick behind it, not a koolada. It is well documented that I’m not a huge fan of menthol vapes, so from reading the label this was a surprise. For you menthol vape fans this is a wonderfully fruity blackcurrant lemonade menthol, but it is not what it says on the label. As a personal note, I wished they hadn’t put the menthol in it as the blackcurrant lemonade is really good.

On the inhale I start to enjoy a full-bodied blackcurrant bursting with an underlying homemade lemonade and then suddenly I am hit with a rush of menthol. The sweetness of the lemonade makes this more palatable. On to the exhale and the menthol dies down to leave you once again with the lovely blackcurrant lemonade. It’s not for me.

A little disappointed that it’s not really what it says it is, but still a very good juice.

VP Review Rating: 5/10

Sparkling Grape

Scent: grape

Flavour: Though I do enjoy a fruity vape, I’ve never been really taken with grape juices. Saying that, I find this juice really enjoyable, there is also a tiny bit of koolada which is in good measure that it doesn’t affect the experience to much.

Growing up as family when we had Sunday dinner we would have a bottle of sparkling grape juice called Schloer, this juice tastes just like that. How they have done this, it is one of the best grape vapes I’ve had.

On the inhale I am greeted by a sweet and juicy grape juice with the slightest touch of koolada in the background. On to the exhale and this is accentuated (apart from the koolada) giving my tongue a little tickle with fizz on the way out. Leaving me with a very fruity palate. An ADV for me.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

Sparkling Pineapple & Lime Soda

Scent: sharp lime.

Flavour: this was the one I was looking forward to most as I love a lime vape and with the addition of pineapple I thought great. However I am left a little disappointed because there is menthol in it. I think part of this disappointment is that I’m thinking I’m going to get one thing and I get another. The juice, for what it is, is good. Please do not misunderstand me.

On the inhale I get a lovely sharp lime with a soft fruity pineapple just behind and then woosh, a hit of menthol comes in slightly sweetened by the fruit makes it palatable. On to the exhale and the menthol starts to die down letting the lime and pineapple return to finish with a slight dryness that soda brings. It is not for me.

VP Review Rating: 5/10

So to my conclusion, I find that EFizz have brought some good juices to the market. As the juices stand they are great, but the problem I have is how they are being marketed and I feel that there could be misunderstanding. What I mean is that they are marketing the juice range as beverage vapes, if you are a menthol vaper then these are good for you, if you are a beverage vaper then you maybe disappointed by these. However if you are a beverage/menthol vaper then you are going to be in heaven.

I’m afraid I find the names and labelling a little misleading, but the juice is good, very good.

The plastic bottles I received are unicorn style with child safety caps and tamper rings. They also come in these plastic tube packets which are sealed top and bottom. EFizz have a bright and cheerful website which is easy to navigate. There is a small glitch in the shop where one of the products is enlarged and it covers one of the other products which is not good if that’s the one you want to buy. I’m kind of left with mixed feelings about the products, really good juice but not quite what I was expecting.

I would recommend going and checking out Efizz, but be aware that there is probably some menthol derivative as a part of the juice.
