Grinny Heaths are a UK company based in St. Osyths, Essex. They have a seven juice range which are a 70VG/30PG mix.
I went to Vape Jam UK 3 this year and had a really enjoyable time (you can read about my visit by clicking here). I met lots of companies that I hadn’t met before and some that I knew very well. One of the companies I hadn’t met before was Grinny Heaths, I had a brief chat with the guys at Grinny Heaths and they asked me if I would do a review of some of their juices and gave me four from their range for the purpose of review.
I have mentioned many times before that going to events and trying juice can come across as being amazing and then you buy some, get it home and into your own device and it doesn’t quite live up to expectation. Please read on and let’s take a look and see what I think of these juices.
The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
- Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
- Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
A Girl Named Sue
Scent: mango with citrus notes.
Flavour: I love a fruity vape and this juice delivers a good well balanced mix. With mango, pineapple and peach I find that not one of them is dominant, but all add to the juice in good measure.
On the inhale I get a mango first, but the pineapple rushes in and sits on top of the mango. On to the exhale the mango and pineapple come out jostling for position with no one winning. At about half way through the exhale a wonderful juicy peach punches through to join the race. Leaving me with a delightfully peachy palate. An ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 7/10
Flavour: I do love a lime vape and this is a straight down the line lime vape. They have left it just sharp enough to take me to the edge of pursed lips and a squint to the eye. But the added sweet tones just bring me back in time to make it very enjoyable.
On the inhale I get a light lime flavour. But it is about the exhale and the lime just bursts out hitting my taste buds with a tang, sharp notes and sweet notes to keep it under control. If you like a full-bodied lime that has sharp edges, you are going to love this. An ADV for me.

Slingin’ A Benson
Scent: caramel with hints of nuts and tobacco.
Flavour: wow, this took me by surprise. I’m not usually one for a tobacco vape, but this juice is divine. With a rich caramel the addition of a couple of nuts, one of which is a hazelnut, a dark tobacco that stays through the vape and I believe there is a whiskey finish, a hint that is left on my palate.
On the inhale I get a soft creamy caramel to start which is joined by a dark fruity tobacco right at the back of the inhale. On to the exhale and the tobacco stays a constant to the end. The caramel drifts further back which allows the nuts to venture forward and just to finish there is a hint to a whiskey, maybe a bourbon. Its not quite an ADV for me, but I can see myself sitting in an evening with a few beers enjoying this juice.
VP Review Rating: 9/10
Scent: I strong juicy apple with hints of blackcurrant.
Flavour: ha ha, that took me by surprise. It is well documented that I am not a fan of menthol vapes. The surprise is because I can normally smell it. I was also surprised because there is this wonderful strawberry that comes bursting through on the exhale. I have found that strawberry gets lost in menthol vapes, not with this juice. I really like how they structured the fruit in this juice, delivering a new fruity experience for me. I would love to try this juice without the menthol as I believe it would an outstanding juice for me. I like how the blackcurrant is delivered as a back note.
On the inhale I am greeted by a wonderful sweet apple which is soon overtaken by a sweet menthol which clears the airwaves but is lovely and smooth. On to exhale and the menthol starts to die away and there is an underlying blackcurrant that stays in the background. The apple moves back and there is a punch of strawberry that comes through giving a delightful surprise. This is definitely something different in the fruity menthol category than what is on the market right now and if you enjoy a fruity menthol vape it’s a must try. It is not for me.

So to my conclusion, I find that Grinny Heaths have brought some excellent juices that deliver something slightly different that is already on the market. All the juices deliver a full-bodied flavour and produce some excellent vapour. What I find impressive is that they haven’t followed suit with everyone else and they have gone out to find something different for the market, a brave move, but a move that has worked well in my eyes.
The samples I received came in unicorn style bottles with child safety caps and tamper rings. Where do I start with the design work for the labelling, it is incredible, I love it. Bright and colourful patterns with each juice having its own pattern. This design work crosses over on to the website, making for a delightful colourful user experience, the site is also clear and easy to use. Now I’ve looked at the website, I do like the sound of the Filthy Sandwich. Well done Grinny Heaths.
