Last year I attended my first event Vape Jam UK 2 (if you would like to check out my visit please click here) I met a gentleman called Colin, it was a very brief meeting. But in October last year I attended Vaper Expo UK – The Return (you can check out my visit by clicking here) and I met Colin again with his newly formed distribution company Gorilla Vapour, it was great to see him and have a chat about the future for him and his company.
This year I went to Vape Jam UK 3 in London and had an excellent time (if you would like to check out my visit then click here). To my surprise I bumped into Colin again, it was fantastic to see Colin again and it was great to see the growth of the company. This time we spoke about some reviews that he would like me to do. Colin gave me for the purpose of review Vapour Bakers (check out my review by clicking here), Vice City (check out my review by clicking here), Efizz (you can check out my review by clicking here) and his own range Tornado Pro, which I have five flavours from the range for you today.
I most recently went to Vaper Expo UK – The Big Weekend (you can check out my visit by clicking here). It was an awesome weekend and I was to meet up with Colin once again and he had a much bigger stand this time. On the Friday evening I went to the Vapouround Awards (you can check out my visit by clicking here) where I saw Simply Vapour come third in the Best Tobacco category and Simply Vapour were being distributed by Colin and Gorilla Vapour, after a chat with Colin and Brady (owner of Simply Vapour) the following day I was asked if I would do a review of some of their juices. (you can check out my review by clicking here).
I have mentioned many times before that going to events and trying juice can come across as being amazing and then you buy some, get it home and into your own device and it doesn’t quite live up to expectation. Please read on and let’s take a look and see what I think of these juices.
The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
- Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
- Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
Scent: custard with a hint of strawberry.
Flavour: this is what I class as an English custard, a mild and slightly creamy custard. What I do like about this, is that the strawberry is very much at the front of the vape. With others I find that the strawberry is either behind the custard or even lost within the custard.
On the inhale I get a strawberry, more like a coulis (a sauce made from fresh fruit and sugar) and then right at the back of the inhale I get a hint to a creamy custard. On to the exhale and the strawberry still sits on top, but the custard comes further forward. It is not a strong custard, but more of a silky creamy touch to the fruit. It leaves me with the taste of custard on my palate. An ADV for me.

Scent: a rich lemon and lime, reminds me of a cordial.
Flavour: I love my lime vapes and have to say that this is a good one. What I like about it is that there isn’t to much sweetener in it. So I get those wonderful zings that citrus’s give. With the addition of the lemon the blend makes for a very enjoyable vape indeed. My first thoughts were to a lemon and lime cordial, but it tastes much fresher than that.
On the inhale I am getting a lemon that builds through the inhale and then on to the exhale the lime kicks in. This juice takes me to the edge of a pursed lips, eye squinting moment, but is sweet enough just stay within the pleasurable zone with the citrus notes of both fruit zinging at my taste buds. Is it an ADV? Most certainly is for me.
VP Review Rating: 8/10
Scent: strawberries with a hint of something that I can’t quite get.
Flavour: this is a really enjoyable juice. I now know what the other flavour is, kiwi, most definitely a kiwi. I use to vape this flavour a lot and this juice just brings back fond memories. The kiwi really comes through really well in this juice, others I’ve tried the kiwi sits in the background. Neither are wrong, both just deliver a different experience.
On the inhale I am met with a fresh strawberry. On to the exhale and the strawberry continues with a kiwi that comes out and almost knocks the strawberry off top spot, both jostle for position giving me a very satisfying vape, I get a slight creaminess finish to it too. An ADV for me.

Scent: lychee and raspberry.
Flavour: I was a little worried when I first looked at this juice as I find that a lot of companies over do the lychee in juices. Not with this juice, it is more of a back note with the raspberry taking prominence.
On the inhale I get this beautiful raspberry that dances around the taste buds. On to the exhale and the raspberry continues with the addition of lychee in good measure that it sits well in the background giving some body to the vape. An ADV for me.

Thunder Berry Blast
Scent: a hint to mixed berries.
Flavour: I find this juice very clever and one of the most true to likeness that I have had. A lot of companies put a fair amount of sweetener in with mixed berries making them maybe a little bit false. With this juice I can taste the individual fruits of blackberry, strawberry and raspberry (there maybe a blueberry) and there is this slight sourness that I would get when eating these fruit. Amazing, very clever mixing.
On the inhale I get two notes, a blackberry and a raspberry intertwined. On to the exhale and the blackberry really bursts out with the raspberry staying the same and a strawberry that pops up into the affray, there is another note and I think it is a blueberry right in the background. Makes me feel like I am eating a bowl of freshly picked berries. Divine and makes for an ADV for me.

So to my conclusion, I find that Tornado Pro have brought some great juices to the market. All the juices are consistent and deliver a great flavour and they all produce some excellent vapour. This is a range that is most definitely for those who enjoy a fruity vape. I’m really impressed with the make up of Thunder Berry Blast. The mixing is definitely guided towards the trying to get as real as possible and I really like that.
The samples I was given (pre TPD) were 30ml bottles, but they are all TPD/TRPR compliant now coming in unicorn style bottles with child safety caps, tamper rings and then in cylindrical plastic tube boxes. I love the labeling, though fairly simple they stand out with each flavour taking on a different bright colour. The website is good and easy and clear to navigate. It seems that Colin not only has an eye for good juice, but can make good juice too. I’m looking forward to the other reviews I have to do, keep an eye out for them coming soon.

I’d like to say thank you to Colin of Gorilla Vapour for giving me these juices for review.
