Vape Dodo are a UK company based in London. They have a four juice range, which is a 80VG/20PG.
I went to the London Vape Show and I had an excellent time (check out my visit by clicking here). For a medium sized show it had some great vendors showcasing, some that I knew very well, others I knew of but were first time meeting them and then there were new companies. One of which was Vape Dodo who were launching at the event.
At the show they went on to win two awards. One for Best Stand, which they won for there raw organic looking stand with great customer service, they also had a Dodo that blew out vape (the one on the image), it was a rather cool looking stand.
The other award was for Best Packaging, I certainly feel was well deserved. All of the artwork on the labels and the boxes were hand drawn by a member of the team. I’ve put some close ups below as I think they are well worth a look.
The company goes further with their juice range, creating a character and story line for each juice. On the box you will also find a grid reference to a location where the ingredients derived from. Pretty cool huh?
I have mentioned many times before that going to events and trying juice can come across as being amazing and then you buy some, get it home and into your own device and it doesn’t quite live up to expectation. Please read on and let’s take a look and see what I think of these juices.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
- Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
- Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
01 – Smooth Forbidden Peach
Scent: creamy peach.
Flavour: oh yum, I do love a peach vape and with the creamy tones this really does hit the spot. Though this juice is very creamy, I feel that it is a creamy yoghurt because there is a slight lift right at the end of the exhale where the creaminess becomes ever so slightly sour.
On the inhale I get a wonderful juicy peach that comes in on a thin layer of cream. On to the exhale and the cream pushes further forward encapsulating the peach. It doesn’t take over the peach, but makes the peach more creamy and then right at the end of exhale I get a slight hint of a sour note. Certainly an ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 9/10
02 – Raspberry MoonShine
Scent: sweet soft raspberries.
Flavour: oh my goodness this is divine! The only problem is how to explain it, a wonderful unique flavour. There is an abundance of fresh raspberries which is finely blended with what I think is a champagne or wine. There is no sparkliness to it, but has a tone of a fine grape added.
On the inhale I get this mix of wine and hints of raspberry that build into the inhale. On to the exhale and it is like an explosion across my palate. This fine blend hits my taste buds taking me into seventh heaven. Is it an ADV? Most certainly is for me.
VP Review Rating: 9/10
03 – Cast-Away Coconut
Scent: creamy coconut.
Flavour: wow, just wow! Can it get any better. I do like a bit of coconut from time to time and they have put it with a delicious sweet and juicy pineapple. Just delightful.
I don’t get very much on the inhale, maybe a slight hint of coconut. But this is all about the exhale, this divine creamy coconut comes through with these wonderful sweet and juicy tones of pineapple surrounding it. Leaving me with a sweet tip to my tongue and another ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 10/10
04 – Alpine Berry
Scent: berries with a kind of a fresh garden smell.
Flavour: it is well documented that I’m not a fan of menthol vapes, but I have tried many and feel I can spot a good one and give good critic. For me, a long with the berries there are two types of mint, a fresh garden mint and a slightly heavier sweet mint (maybe even a little koolada?). I feel that the garden mint gets slightly lost behind the other mint. In my opinion, I think that to just have the berries and the garden mint would have been in more keeping with the rest of the range.
However, after saying that, it is still a very good berries and mint vape.
On the inhale I get some lovely mixed berries which is overtaken by the stronger mint, cooling my throat. On the exhale as the mint dies down the berries pop up again to finish the exhale with hints of the garden mint in the back ground. It is not for me.
VP Review Rating: 5/10
So to my conclusion, I find that Vape Dodo have brought an excellent range to the market. Though I feel 04 – Alpine Berries could do with a little tweaking, it will still be enjoyed by many. All the juices deliver a full-bodied flavour and produce some excellent vapour. I am really impressed with the range with some lovely unique twists that are different to what is available on the market. Well done Vape Dodo.
The samples I received came in unicorn style bottles with child safety caps and tamper rings. They also came in boxes, they are all TPD/TRPR compliant. I love the labeling, the design work is amazing. The attention to detail from design to the stories behind each juice is amazing. When you see this you know that the company behind it are passionate about what they do and I wish them every success. They have a wonderful website that is easy and clear to navigate and you can read up on the stories behind each juice.
