VP Vaping Review: Cyda Vape by Tuxedo Vapes

Tuxedo Vapes are a UK company based in London. They have six ranges to boast, The Classic Edition (three juices), The Dark Edition (three juices), The Gold Edition (two juices), The Cake Vape (two juices), Vape a Latte (two juices) and Cyda Vape (two juices).

I first met Tuxedo Vapes back in August 2016 at an event in Birmingham called Cloud Sessions 4 (you can read about my visit by clicking here).

I was to meet the guys at Tuxedo Vapes again at Vape Jam UK 3 (you can check out my visit by clicking here) and they had just launched a new range with two new flavours – The Cake Vape. You can check out my review by clicking here.

I went to Vaper Expo UK – The Big Weekend and had an excellent time (you can read about that by clicking here). I was to meet up with the guys at Tuxedo Vapes and I spoke with them about the business and how they were dealing with TPD/TRPR regulations. It was great to see the wonderful packaging they had produced.

They gave me two juices from their Gold Edition and one juice from their Classic Edition you can check out my review by clicking here.

I was to meet them again at the Vaper Expo UK – A Celebration of Vaping in October and was introduced to two new ranges, Vape a Latte (you can check out my review by clicking here) and Cyda Vape which is what I have for you today.
I have mentioned many times before that going to events and trying juice can come across as being amazing and then you buy some, get it home and into your own device and it doesn’t quite live up to expectation. Please read on and let’s take a look and see what I think of these juices.

The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.

With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.

Devices used:

  • Joyetech Cuboid 150W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
  • Aspire Pegasus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Triton2 with Clapton 0.5ohm coil
  • Innokin CoolFire plus 70W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil

Apple & Pear

Scent: pear cider, hints of apple.

Flavour: haha, funnily enough this tastes just like a pear cider, it reminds me of a Kopparberg cider. There is the slightest of a throat hit, but nothing that is off putting.

On the inhale I get a wonderfully juicy pear that makes me salivate. This continues on to the exhale with hints of apple in the background. I do get a slight throat hit on the exhale, but that could be the slight fizz I get from the juice. There are these delightful cider notes that caress the palate. I actually find this not as sweet as I find the Kopparburg’s to be.

All the great taste without the bad head, win, win in my book.

VP Review Rating: 9/10

Berry & Lime

Scent: a very rich and sweet lime.

Flavour: I do love a lime vape and this juice doesn’t disappoint on that front. A lovely sharp but sweet lime and full bodied berries in the background. Does it taste like cider? Umm I’m not sure, it doesn’t necessarily remind me of a cider when I vape it. However as a berry and lime vape it certainly hits the mark.

On the inhale I get a beautiful sweet lime that builds. On to the exhale and the lime bursts out with sweet and sharp notes hitting my taste buds. Joining the lime comes a rich full bodied mixed berries which fills out behind the lime. I think, though very slight, a hint of apple is floating around in there (or is that me just being hopeful?). For me as it is, a great ADV.

VP Review Rating: 8/10

So to my conclusion, I find that Tuxedo Vapes have brought another two great juices to the market. They both deliver a superb full-bodied flavour and produce some excellent vapour. Whether you are looking for a cider vape or just a good fruity vape, these juices do not disappoint.

The samples I received came in gorilla style bottles with child safety caps, tamper rings and they come well sealed. They also came in some lovely boxes which look really classy, as you can see from the photo below the tip comes separately in its own compartment. I love the designs on the labeling, looking fresh and smart which makes them stand out. They have a great website which is clear and easy to navigate. It also has some great images.

I certainly feel that Tuxedo Vapes is a brand that needs checking out, some very clever mixing. I have never been disappointed by anything I have tried from them.

VP Review Rating explained, when scoring a juice I’m looking at the quality of the juice, how close I feel the flavour is to what it says it is and how I find it stands along side other flavours of the same type on the market:

11/10 = Awesome Stuff

8/10 – 10/10 = Differing levels of excellence

5/10 – 7/10 =  Differing levels of Goodness

0/10 – 4/10 = I have issues with it

There have been a few changes to the way I write my review to be compliant with the TPD/TRPR regulations that came into force on the 20/05/17. If you would like any further details on the regulations, please click here.
