Vapetasia are an American company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have many ranges to their name.
I went to Vape Jam UK 4 just for one day this year, I went on the Sunday. I was told it was the quieter of the two days which was good for as I was able to spend some time talking with people. One of those was Jay of Vaping with Jay, we have met a few times and it was really good to have the opportunity to speak with him, a top bloke and a great reviewer. Please do take the time to check out his reviews – Click here. Jay also looks after The Vaping Times check it out!
Jay had been asked to come along by Vapetasia to help out on the stand. I was asked if I would do a review of some of their ranges. I was given them for the purpose of review, each range will be presented and published separately, but here is what you have to look forward to;
- Original Range (check my review by clicking here)
- Ice Cream Man (Check out my review by clicking here)
- Ice Cream Donuts by Ice Cream Man (Check out my review by clicking here)
- Gelato by Ice Cream Man (Check out my review by clicking here)
Which just leaves Vapetasia Killer Kustard which is what I have for you today.
These are a shortfill range and so I have added nicotine shots. Nicotine can sometimes change the flavour of a juice or make the juice react differently, so for me to test properly I think it is important to have it as it would be vaped by a customer. Please read on and let’s take a look and see what I think of these juices.
The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Vaporesso Tarot 200W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
- Vaptio Solo II @ 50watts with 0.25ohm coil
- Sigelei/KAOS Spectrum 220W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
Flavour: I love a good custard and this is rather good! I don’t find it overpowering which I have done in the past with other American companies take on custard. Lovely, creamy and rich just what I want from a custard vape.
On the inhale I get soft creamy tones with the vanilla custard just coming in at the back of the inhale. On to the exhale and the custard just blossoms coating my palate with creamy goodness. Leaving me wanting more. Most definitely an ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 9/10
Killer Kustard – Strawberry
Scent: custard with a hint of strawberry.
Flavour: I’m finding that the strawberry which comes across like a strawberry syrup takes a little away from the custard. It is still rich and creamy.
On the inhale I get the same soft creamy tones, but towards the back of the inhale I get a sweet strawberry. On to the exhale the strawberry comes through and is dominant, losing some of the custard tones. There is always a rich creaminess in the background. It is still a lovely creamy number.
VP Review Rating: 7/10
Killer Kustard – Lemon
Scent: creamy lemon.
Flavour: once again the addition of lemon does take away of the custard tones. However this is a really good vape. For me the lemon is like a lemon curd, but with the custard makes it very creamy. There is this lovely tartness that gives me a little zing. I love that.
On the inhale I get the soft cream tones and then this sharp lemon starts to appear. On to the exhale and the lemon bursts out across my palate tantalising my taste buds. There are these rich creamy back notes that try to calm the lemon and only partially succeed. A delightful ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 8/10
So to my conclusion, I find that Vapetasia have brought three great flavours to the market. They all deliver a full-bodied flavour and produce some excellent vapour. As I mentioned above, in general I have been under whelmed by custards made by US companies. These juices certainly stand above any custard vape I’ve tried from across the pond.
How do they compare to UK custards? I think Killer Kustard would certainly give some of the leading brands a run for their money.
The samples I received came in unicorn style bottles with child safety caps and tamper rings. I love the simplistic labeling all in bright colours which make them stand out. They have a great website which is clear and easy to navigate.

VP Review Rating explained, when scoring a juice I’m looking at the quality of the juice, how close I feel the flavour is to what it says it is and how I find it stands alongside other flavours of the same type on the market:
11/10 = Awesome Stuff
8/10 – 10/10 = Differing levels of excellence
5/10 – 7/10 = Differing levels of Goodness
0/10 – 4/10 = I have issues with it
There have been a few changes to the way I write my review to be compliant with the TPD/TRPR regulations that came into force on the 20/05/17. If you would like any further details on the regulations, please click here.
