Ice Cream Man are an American company based in Southern California. They are from the same people who brought us Ruthless E-Juice.
I went to Vape Jam UK 4 just for one day this year, I went on the Sunday. I was told it was the quieter of the two days which was good for as I was able to spend some time talking with people. One of those was Jay of Vaping with Jay, we have met a few times and it was really good to have the opportunity to speak with him, a top bloke and a great reviewer. Please do take the time to check out his reviews – Click here. Jay also looks after The Vaping Times check it out!
Jay had been asked to come along by Vapetasia to help out on the stand. I was asked if I would do a review of some of their ranges. I was given them for the purpose of review, each range will be presented and published separately, but here is what you have to look forward to;
- Original Range (check my review by clicking here)
- Killer Kustard (check my review by clicking here)
- Ice Cream Man (Check out my review by clicking here)
- Ice Cream Donuts by Ice Cream Man (check my review by clicking here)
Which just leaves Gelato by Ice Cream Man which is what I have for you today.
These are a shortfill range and so I have added nicotine shots. Nicotine can sometimes change the flavour of a juice or make the juice react differently, so for me to test properly I think it is important to have it as it would be vaped by a customer. Please read on and let’s take a look and see what I think of these juices.
The review I will be conducting will be a scent test from the open bottle of juice and then a flavour test on the devices listed below.
With no further a do, I’ll get on with the review.
- Vaporesso Tarot 200W @ 70watts, Geekvape Tsunami 24 with Dual Clapton 0.8ohm coils, wicked with Kendo Cotton
- Vaptio Solo II @ 50watts with 0.25ohm coil
- Sigelei/KAOS Spectrum 220W @ 40watts, Aspire Cleito with 0.4ohm coil
Because I didn’t know and I needed to know the difference between Gelato and Ice Cream. Here is a description for all of you, taken from a website called TheKitchn.com
“It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving the Gelato denser than ice cream. Gelato is served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream, so its texture stays silkier and softer. Because it has a lower percentage of fat than ice cream, the main flavor ingredient really shines through”
Flavour: I love a nutty vape so this juice certainly pushes the buttons for me. But does it remind me of pistachio Gelato (or ice cream), I’m not sure. The jury is out for me, maybe if they had added a little koolada I may not even be questioning it. However, it is a lovely vape, a delightful pistachio nut with creamy tones to it.
On the inhale I get the pistachio growing into the inhale. On to the exhale and the pistachio is accentuated with lovely creamy tones dancing around in the back ground. It certainly is an ADV for me.
VP Review Rating: 8/10
Flavour: Though missing a little koolada this is bizarrely accurate. It does come across like a dense creamy strawberry. The strawberry is two tone for me, a sweet strawberry and a candied strawberry.
On the inhale the two tone strawberry builds into the inhale. On to the exhale and the strawberry becomes bolder, more fuller, more dense. There are slight creamy tones keeping it lovely and smooth.
VP Review Rating: 7/10
So to my conclusion, I find that Ice Cream Man have brought two good juices to the market. Though quite simple they do deliver a full-bodied flavour and produce some excellent vapour. Personally I’m not one for adding koolada or menthol to juices, but I think a little koolada would have made these juices really pop.
The samples I received came in unicorn style bottles with child safety caps and tamper rings. I love the simplistic labeling all in bright colours which make them stand out. I can’t find a website for the company and so cannot comment.
You can find Ice Cream Man on social media;
I’d like to say thank you to Vapetasia for giving me these juices for review.

VP Review Rating explained, when scoring a juice I’m looking at the quality of the juice, how close I feel the flavour is to what it says it is and how I find it stands alongside other flavours of the same type on the market:
11/10 = Awesome Stuff
8/10 – 10/10 = Differing levels of excellence
5/10 – 7/10 = Differing levels of Goodness
0/10 – 4/10 = I have issues with it
There have been a few changes to the way I write my review to be compliant with the TPD/TRPR regulations that came into force on the 20/05/17. If you would like any further details on the regulations, please click here.
